Refund Policy

1. Cancellation Policy

At My Holiday Trip, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent for all parties involved. Please review the following guidelines carefully before making a cancellation request.

General Rules

• Cancellation charges vary depending on how far in advance you cancel before the check-in date.

• The applicable cancellation charges will be clearly displayed at the time of booking.

• Some properties may have their own cancellation policies which will override the standard policy.

• Cancellation requests must be made through the official channels listed below.

Free Cancellation

• Bookings marked as "Free Cancellation" can be cancelled without any charges up to the deadline mentioned in your booking confirmation.

• After the free cancellation deadline, standard cancellation charges will apply.

• Free cancellation deadlines are typically 24–72 hours before check-in, depending on the property.

Non-Refundable Bookings

• Bookings marked as "Non-Refundable" cannot be cancelled or refunded under any circumstances.

• Non-refundable bookings are offered at a discounted rate in exchange for the no-cancellation commitment.

• Date changes or modifications are also not permitted for non-refundable bookings.

No-Show Policy

• If you do not check in on the scheduled date without prior cancellation, it will be treated as a "No-Show."

• No-show cases are charged the full booking amount with no refund.

• For multi-night bookings, the remaining nights will be automatically cancelled after a no-show.

2. Refund Process

Once a cancellation is confirmed, the refund will be initiated based on the applicable cancellation charges and the original payment method used.

Refund Timeline

Refund Amount

• The refund amount is calculated as the total booking amount minus the applicable cancellation charges.

• Any taxes paid on the cancelled booking will be refunded proportionally.

• Payment gateway charges or convenience fees may not be refundable.

• If partial stay has been completed, only the unused nights will be considered for refund calculation.

Refund to Original Payment Method

• All refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of booking.

• Refunds cannot be transferred to a different account, card, or payment method.

• In case the original payment method is no longer valid, please contact our support team for assistance.

3. How to Cancel

You can cancel your booking through any of the following channels:

• My Holiday Trip App: Go to My Bookings → Select the booking → Tap "Cancel Booking" and follow the prompts.

• Website: Log in to your account at myholidaytrip.in → Navigate to My Bookings → Select the booking and click "Cancel."

• Email: Send a cancellation request to admin@myholidaytrip.in with your booking ID, registered name, and reason for cancellation.

• WhatsApp: Message us on our official WhatsApp support number with your booking details for quick cancellation assistance.

Please ensure you receive a cancellation confirmation via email or SMS. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, please contact our support team.

4. Modifications to Bookings

• Date changes, guest name changes, or room type modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

• Modification requests must be made at least 24 hours before the check-in date.

• If the modified booking has a higher rate, you will need to pay the difference. If it has a lower rate, the difference will be refunded.

• Some promotional or discounted bookings may not be eligible for modifications.

• Modifications are not guaranteed and depend on the hotel's acceptance of the change request.

5. Special Circumstances

Force Majeure

• In the event of natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other force majeure events, special cancellation policies may apply.

• My Holiday Trip will make reasonable efforts to provide full refunds or free date changes during such events.

• Force majeure claims must be supported by relevant documentation or official government advisories.

Service Quality Issues

• If the property or services provided significantly differ from what was described at the time of booking, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund.

• Complaints must be raised within 24 hours of check-in with photographic or video evidence.

• Our team will investigate the issue and determine the appropriate resolution, which may include relocation to an alternative property, partial refund, or full refund.

• Subjective preferences (e.g., room view, decor style) do not qualify for service quality refunds.

6. Coupon & Promotional Bookings

• If a booking made with a coupon or promotional offer is cancelled, the coupon or discount may not be reissued.

• Refund amounts for promotional bookings will be calculated based on the actual amount paid after the discount.

• Cashback offers associated with a cancelled booking will be reversed.

• Loyalty points or rewards earned from a cancelled booking will be deducted from your account.

• Special event or flash sale bookings may have stricter cancellation terms as mentioned during the promotion.

7. Refund Disputes

• If you believe your refund was incorrectly calculated or not received within the expected timeline, you may raise a dispute.

• Disputes must be raised within 30 days of the cancellation date by emailing admin@myholidaytrip.in with the subject line "Refund Dispute – [Booking ID]."

• Our team will review the dispute and respond within 5–7 business days with a resolution.

• If the dispute remains unresolved, you may escalate it to our grievance officer whose details are available on our website.

• Filing a chargeback with your bank without first contacting us may result in delays and account restrictions.
